This wine is produced from Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards located on the hills surrounding the picturesque village of Bergheim. The soil is rich in clay and limestone and gives finesse, elegance and balance to the wine. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature while the aging in barrique for about 24 months. The color is a beautiful bright and attractive red. The nose reveals delicious aromas of red fruits including black cherry and morello cherry. In the mouth the attack is frank and fruity, delicate thanks to the silky tannins. The skilful use of wood leads to a harmonious, rich and slightly spicy finish.
