Palate: A silky caress. Unexpectedly strong spicy entry, but always honeyed and rounded by some toasty oak. The honeyed malt is beautifully interwoven around the venerable grain, which must be absolutely ancient.
Finish: A perfectly-integrated slow fade of the palate. Mouthwatering grain, and the honey and spices dwindle slowly. Extremely long but still very gentle.
Nose: A mix of heady toffee apple and very faint smoke. Thick, syrupy malt, digestive biscuits, oak.
Palate: Soft, buttery toffee and general fruitiness. Medium bodied, but very malty and well-constructed blend.
Finish: Golden syrup, creamy spices and malt on the finish.
Nose: Fairly light but oily, with dry oak, honey and gently stony smoke.

Taste: Start of off honey sweet at first, followed by a touch of cinnamon that doesn’t overpower the sweetness. Hint of tropical fruits come on as the spice fades, making this a very complex and changing dram.

Nose: More like Lapsang Souchong tea than Lapsang Souchong! One of the smokiest noses from Islay. It's big, very, very concentrated, and redolent of iodine, sweet spices, good, mature Sherry and creamy vanilla. Stunning.
Palate: Very thick and rich. A massive mouthful of malt and Sherry with good fruity sweetness, but also a wonderful sweetness. Big, powerful peat and oak.
Finish: Long, spicy finish, figs, dates, peat smoke, vanilla.
