Tasting note:
From a single vineyard in front of the cantina, this is a blend of Bordeaux varieties with 10% Sangiovese, matured in French oak for 10 months. There’s a heady nose of plum, damson, cocoa and wild Tuscan herbs. The palate is glorious and harmonious, with fruit depth and warm oak spice, framed by glossy tannins and sapid, crunchy-berry freshness.
Tasting notes:
Intense and persistent nose with clear hints of blackberry and blueberry in prevalence; dense aromas of jam and notes of Mediterranean spices emerge in progression. The attack on the palate is soft and harmonious; the finish ample and enveloping, supported by a backbone of pleasant acidity.
Tasting Notes:
Intense and well outlined nose, very refined: evolving with black berries, together with clear balsamic and Mediterranean traces. Perfectly integrated oak with spicy sweet notes and an elegant boisé in thè finish.
This Antinori family's historic label, since the 2011 vintage Marchese Antinori has been produced with grapes exclusively from the Tignanello vineyard. It's made almost entirely with Sangiovese with a small percentage of other complementary varieties. A wine that fully expresses the quality and elegance of Sangiovese grapes grown in this area.
